SPICY CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS WITH OYSTER SAUCE
INGREDIENTS
- 4 Chicken Drumsticks
- 1/2 Cup flour
- 2 Tablespoon corn starch
- 1 Teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 Cup water
- 2 Tablespoon oyster sauce
- 4 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 Spoon hot pepper sauce
- 1 Teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 Teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 Tablespoon green onions
DIRECTIONS:
STEP 1 – MAKING THE BATTER
- Whisk together flour, corn starch, baking powder, 1/4 Teaspoon salt, water, 1 Tablespoon cooking oil, and 1/2 Cup water.
- Set the batter aside.
STEP 2 – DEEP FRY THE CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS
- Set the deep fryer to 350 degrees
- Add small amounts of batter to the chicken drumsticks and deep fry for 20 minutes or longer depending on the size of the chicken drumsticks.
STEP 3 – STIR-FRY
- On high heat add the 1/2 cup water, oyster sauce, sugar, hot pepper sauce, chicken drumsticks, minced ginger, and minced garlic
- Stir-fry the chicken drumsticks for 1-1.5 minute and then sprinkle some green onions on top.
- Serve the chicken chicken drumsticks on a plate.
