SHRIMP ASPARAGUS

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 lb shrimp
  • 1 lb of asparagus
  • 1 oz red onions
  • 1 Teaspoon of sliced ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 2 oz of red and orange peppers
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoon of cooking sherry wine
  • 1/2 Tablespoon of Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of water
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch + 2 Tablespoon of water
  • 1 pinch of black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1 – COOK THE SHRIMP

  • In a wok add some cooking oil and start cooking the shrimp
  • Add salt and black pepper
  • Cook the shrimp until it’s browned up
  • Remove the shrimp and set the shrimp to the side

STEP 2 – COOK THE VEGETABLES

  • Add the garlic and gingers to the wok and stir fry
  • Next add Asparagus to the wok
  • Brown up the vegetables
  • Add cooking sherry wine, sugar, and water and let it boil for a couple minutes
  • Next add orange and red peppers, sesame seed oil and oyster sauce

STEP 3 – THICKENING AGENT FOR SAUCE

  • Whisk together 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch and 2 Tablespoon of water in a bowl

STEP 4 – STIR FRY EVERYTHING TOGETHER

  • Add the thickening agent slowly to your stir fry until the sauce is to the preferred thickness.
  • Then add the shrimp back into the stir fry and stir everything together
  • Lastly add a pinch of black pepper to the stir fry
