SHRIMP ASPARAGUS
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 lb shrimp
- 1 lb of asparagus
- 1 oz red onions
- 1 Teaspoon of sliced ginger
- 1 Teaspoon of minced garlic
- 2 oz of red and orange peppers
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon black pepper
- 2 Tablespoon of cooking sherry wine
- 1/2 Tablespoon of Sugar
- 1/2 Cup of water
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seed Oil
- 1 Tablespoon of Oyster Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch + 2 Tablespoon of water
- 1 pinch of black pepper
DIRECTIONS:
STEP 1 – COOK THE SHRIMP
- In a wok add some cooking oil and start cooking the shrimp
- Add salt and black pepper
- Cook the shrimp until it’s browned up
- Remove the shrimp and set the shrimp to the side
STEP 2 – COOK THE VEGETABLES
- Add the garlic and gingers to the wok and stir fry
- Next add Asparagus to the wok
- Brown up the vegetables
- Add cooking sherry wine, sugar, and water and let it boil for a couple minutes
- Next add orange and red peppers, sesame seed oil and oyster sauce
STEP 3 – THICKENING AGENT FOR SAUCE
- Whisk together 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch and 2 Tablespoon of water in a bowl
STEP 4 – STIR FRY EVERYTHING TOGETHER
- Add the thickening agent slowly to your stir fry until the sauce is to the preferred thickness.
- Then add the shrimp back into the stir fry and stir everything together
- Lastly add a pinch of black pepper to the stir fry
