CHINESE LEMON CHICKEN RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Cup water
- 3 Tablespoon Sugar
- 3 Tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 Tablespoon sliced lemon peels
- 1/4 Teaspoon soy sauce
- 3 Tablespoon corn starch
- 1/2 Cup flower
- 1 Teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon cooking oil
- 2 Cups of chopped lettuce
- 1/2 lb of chicken
DIRECTIONS:
STEP 1 – SAUCE
- In a bowl, add 1/2 Cup water, sugar, white vinegar, lemon juice, lemon peels, soy sauce, and 1 Tablespoon corn starch
- Mix together thoroughly and set aside.
STEP 2 – MAKING THE BATTER
- In a bowl, add flour, 2 Tablespoon of corn starch, baking powder, salt, 1 Tablespoon cooking oil, and 1/2 Cup of water. If it is too thick, add some more water to the batter.
STEP 3 – DEEP FRY THE CHICKEN
- Deep fry the shrimp at 350 degrees until the chicken is golden brown or for around 5 minutes. Once the chicken is cooked, put the chicken on top of the lettuce and set it aside.
STEP 4 – COOKING THE SAUCE
- Add the sauce to the wok and let it boil and stir until the sauce becomes thick
- Add the sauce on top of the chicken
