HOW TO MAKE CHINESE BBQ PORK CHAR SIU

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb of Pork Shoulder Meat
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt
  • 3 Tablespoon of Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoon of Ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoon of Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/4 Teaspoon White Pepper
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 Teaspoon 5 Spice Powder

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1 – MARINATING THE PORK

  • In a bowl, add pork, salt, sugar, ketchup, hoisin sauce, white pepper, black pepper and 5 spice powder and let it marinate overnight.

STEP 2 – COOK THE PORK

  • Set the Oven for 450 Degrees and leave the pork in the oven for a total of 1 hour, but also remember to turn the meat over after the first 30 minutes.
