CHINESE BEEF AND BROCCOLI STIR-FRY
INGREDIENTS
- 8 oz of sliced beef
- 1lb broccoli
- 1 egg white
- 2.5 Tablespoon of corn starch
- 4 Tablespoon of oil
- 2 pinch white pepper
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 Cups of chicken broth
- 2 Tablespoons of water
- 2 Tablespoon of Oyster Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon sugar
- 1 Teaspoon sesame seed oil
- 1 Teaspoon of soy sauce
DIRECTIONS:
STEP 1 – MARINATING THE BEEF
- In a bowl, add the beef, egg white, white pepper, salt, 1.5 tablespoon of corn starch and 1 tablespoon of oil. Mix them together well.
STEP 2 – COOKING THE BEEF
- In a wok add 2 Tablespoon of oil and cook on high heat until the beef is brown. Set the beef aside.
STEP 3 – BOILING THE BROCCOLI
- In a 6 qt pot add your broccoli to boiling water untill the broccoli is submerged and boil on high heat for 4 minutes. After your broccoli is done boiling strain and cool with cold water.
STEP4 – STIR-FRY
- Add 1 Tablespoons of oil, minced garlic and stri-fry for a few seconds
- Next add 2 Cups of chicken broth, oyster sauce, sugar, 1 pinch of white pepper, sesame seed oil, soy sauce, beef, broccoli and stir-fry.
- To thicken the sauce, whisk together 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch and 2 Tablespoon of water in a bowl and slowly add to your stir-fry until it’s the right thickness.
