Dungeness Crab with Chili Bean Sauce

 

DUNGENESS CRAB WITH CHILI BEAN SAUCE

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Dungeness crab
  • 3 slices of ginger
  • 1 Oz of chopped up green onions (Separated from white and green)
  • 1 Tablespoon of corn starch
  • 1 Tablespoon of cooking sherry wine
  • 1/2 Cup of water
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon of Oyster Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon of chili bean sauce (Toban Djan)

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1 – COOKING THE DUNGENESS CRAB

  • Add corn starch on top of the crabs and spread corn starch on the crab evenly
  • Next add some oil to a wok or pan and cook the crab for 4 to 5 minutes
  • Put the crab aside

STEP 2 – STIR FRY

  • Add the white part of the green onions to a wok or pan with ginger and cooking oil
  • Stir it for a few seconds and then add the crabs back in with cooking sherry wine and the premade sauce
  • Stir fry everything for 5 minutes and put the green parts of the green onions into the stir fry
  • Lastly add it to a plate and enjoy!
